Workshop Date: July 7
Market Date: 7/18 during the Worthington Farmer’s Market
Time: 9am-12pm
Ages: 8-13 years
Mini Makers Market is a two-part creative entrepreneurship experience where kids design, plan, and prepare their own products and then take part in a real community market.
In the workshop session, kids brainstorm ideas, develop products, and create simple branding and packaging concepts. They will continue making their products at home in preparation for market day.
The second part of the experience is a real market event where kids set up their own small booth, share their work, and sell their creations to the community. This is a hands-on opportunity to practice creativity, confidence, and real-world skills in a supportive environment.
This program emphasizes creative thinking, independence, and real-world making, while giving kids a meaningful experience from idea to finished product to public sharing.
Workshops are intentionally small (6–8 participants per session). The final Makers Market brings all participants together for a shared community event.
Note: This is a two-part experience. The workshop includes guidance, planning materials, and prototyping support. Children are expected to complete product creation at home before market day on 7/18
